361.0. "NH fishing liscense" by CLT::HARROW (Bad spellers of the world untie) Mon Jun 01 1987 13:46

I've seen a some literature that mentions a NH Life-time resident
fishing liscense. It doesn't list a price, but says to contact NH fish
& game dept. Well, they're no longer listed in the phone book and the
old 800 number is now out of service. Does anyone know anything about
    a NH life-time resident liscense?

361.1It's free if your 65 or olderVICKI::DODIERTue Jun 02 1987 08:4910
I don't have an "800" number but the the fishing guide said
to call 603-271-3421 for information. If your not familiar with these
licences, it is going to cost (ballpark) $400-$600 depending on
your age. The older you are the less expensive it is.

P.S. Those were at last years prices. Since the licences went up
almost 50%, the above figure may now be off by that much. If you
get a price, why don't you list it in here.
361.2No wonder they don't list the price!CLT::HARROWBad spellers of the world untieTue Jun 02 1987 15:394
Thanks, that's just the kind of info I was wondering about.
A bit rich for my blood though!

How can they have the Ba**s to say it's free when they hit
ya with a fee of $400-600 ?? That don't seem to free to me...

I have a correction. You do not need a fishing license if you
are *68* or older. An indication of the cost (just guessing) would
be as follows for a 30 year old person.

    30 years from 68 years = 38 years x 17.75 (fishing licence fee)

    	Totals $674.50

Considering that last year the fishing licence was roughly $5
cheaper, a life time licence would have been a savings of about $190
using the above formula. Of course this only applies if you remain a
resident or live long enough to take advantage of it.
