    Has there been a new record set for land-locked salmon at the Quabin?
    A reliable source told me Sat. that the previous record of a 22lb
    land-locke caught in the early 1900's was broken...
    I will discuss the size in a later reply,to avoid embarassment in
    case it's just another "fish story".
    If anyone has heard of the record being broken let me know.

	It maybe true. The State fish and game released over 100 of the breeder stock fish into quabin this year. They were very old and big fish. There is some contraverse over the state record issue. Since these fish were released so big. I don't know what the final descion was. I herd they tag them but I don't think they did. Bob (bassin' that is)

	Old and BIG fish they would have to be. I was told that this guy,fishing from shore, landed a...get this... A 38lb landlock....c'mon I said...Maybe in the St.Johns river or trolling in some glacier lake in Alaska,but in Quabbin Res?

	THERE WERE TIME'S WHERE LANDLOCKS WERE CAUGHT OUT OF THE "NASHUA RIVER", EVEN 60 LBS RAINBOW'S......AND BASS WITH GIRTHS LIKE A BASKET BALL... THIS PAST WEEKEND I TALKED TO CHIANEY DODGE, THE MASS. FISH BIOLOGIST. NOW CHAINEY WOULD HAVE CONFERMED A RECORD CATCH LIKE THIS. I'LL BE OUT THERE AGAIN THIS WEEKEND. MORE INFO TO COME. BUT I REALLY DOUGHT THIS ONE...
