Does any one have any comments on which bait shops to use or not to use that are near Cashman's Landing? Does any one use th bait shop that is located right at the entrance to the boat ramp? If you recommend one, could you also include it's location. Thanks stan

I doubt that I've fished with bait enough to know a good shop from a bad one, but the two I've used around the lower 'Mack are Surf Land (on the main drag on Plum Island) and the smallish shop at the launch just up river from Cashman's (the one that's behind the little bakery) along Merrimack Street. I think it's "Caldwell's" but I could easily be wrong... | |||||

I cann't say that I've found a bad bait shop up there. Some that I've used are Bridge Street Bait and Tackle on RT1 in Salisbury, just before the Bridge: Hudsons in Newburyport, I love talking To Malcom and he has the freshest bait and nets his own sand eels: Eels on wheels right at the ramp has lively eels and is real handy.
