| Maine I assume, since the article starts out Sanford, Maine.
I wondered the same thing actually. The way the article reads, there
IS room for interpretation.

483.3 | Definitely Acton, ME... | ESB02::TATOSIAN | The Compleat Tangler | Tue Mar 12 1996 16:12 | 4 |
| There's no Square Pond in an Acton, MA, but there is one in an
Acton, ME (about 4 miles east of Sanborton, NH, on Rt 109)...
|
483.4 | es mucho grande? | STRATA::WOOLDRIDGE | Pleasure, Spiked With Pain | Tue Mar 12 1996 16:17 | 4 |
| So tell me, any idea the size of this "pond"? It supported the Loch
Ness monster...

| I was looking at the Map of Acton Mass for the pond. I thought maybe I
would try it out this spring. :-) O well, I'd probably hurt my back
anyways...
Cod season is just around the corner now..

483.6 | Big? Yes Square? Nope | ESB02::TATOSIAN | The Compleat Tangler | Wed Mar 13 1996 10:48 | 5 |
| Es mucho grande for a "pond": looks to be around 2 miles long by
an average of 1 mile wide (and it doesn't look "Square" by any
measure)...

| Maine gets their ponds and lakes all mixed up. To wit, Great POND is
the biggest of the bodies of water in the Belgrade LAKES - go figure.
