I'd suggest around the mouth of Scorton's Creek or Old Harbor.
If you really like the Canal you could try around the base of the
Scusset Jetty. As the tide goes down there's a little sandy area
and some not too steep rocks for the kids to pick around in. With
guidance they can go into holes in the jetty at low tide, just make
sure they don't go in too far... Most kids won't, it's a little
spooky for them...

| Or call Outermost Marina in Chatham. Ask if they still run a boat
service over to South Beach - or whatever its call nowdays.

Thanks!

461.4 | You asked about Sandwich, right? | SUBPAC::CRONIN | | Wed Aug 09 1995 11:28 | 6 |

Scorton's and Old Harbor are on the Bay side in Sandwich...
I guess it depends on how far you want to travel. Remember that
the Cape is over 70 miles long.

| While were on the topic. It just so happens that I've rented a place
on Nantucket Sound, South Chatam. Now if I am not mistaken, is this not
a good place to fish for Stripers It's for Labor Day week......
Honey? Did I say I wasn't bring any fishing equipment on vacation? ;^)
Any suggestions are welcomed.
Thanks,
Bob M

re: Honey? Did I say I wasn't bring any fishing equipment on vacation? ;^)
This reminds me of the following that was recently sent to me...
"Give a man a fish and you've fed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he disappears on weekends."
How true, eh?
