396.0. "Alaska fly-in fishing for $265/week: 1 space available" by SSAG::SUSSWEIN (Doing my part to piss off the religious right) Mon Jun 27 1994 13:17

Do a fly-in fishing trip on one of Alaska's best salmon rivers for less
    than $300/week!

Four of us were planning a week long raft trip down Lake Creek for the
week from August 5th to August 11th, but one person has had to cancel
out, leaving us with 3 people and two rafts. We'd like to find a 4th
person to fill out the trip, both for reasons of safety as well as
reducing the per person cost of the bush plane. Total cost, including
flights in/out from willow and rental of 2 rafts is $1050, not
including food. With 4 people, this works out to $262/person.

This is NOT a guided trip - you'll be expected to do your share of
share of camp chores, including cooking and cleaning. The River is
wilderness, 64 miles long, with rapids up to class IV. Two of us have
extensive whitewater experience and will be doing most of the rowing,
but there's always a chance of a flip. The river has excellent Rainbow
fishing, and we should be there during the peak of the Silver and Red
    Salmon runs.

We'll have a car, and can arrange pick-up and drop-off at the Anchorage
    airport.

I'll be leaving for Alaska this Friday (July 1st), so if interested
    contact me quickly.

Not sure if any folks out there knew Arch Walker who worked in
Corporate Distribution for a number of years. Arch is the patent
holder for the Walker Fly Reel plus couple of other Walker Reels.
Anyways for those who might have know Archie he passed away suddenly
last week and there will be private burial.

Would anyone happen to know Dick Landry's "Tuna Tail" phone number
since he left Digital. Dick worked with Archie and I would like to
pass the word on to him.
