Lake Mead is a short drive from Las Vegas. You can rent anything from huge houseboats on down. It has a healthy Striper population as well as other kinds of Bass. It should be easy to find a guide in the area if that's what you want. If I only had a few days to fish it I'd go for the guide, it's a -BIG- lake... I think I remember ~900 miles of shoreline???... There's also the Colorado River between Hoover Dam and Lake Havasu. I think the fresh water world record Striper came from the river somewhere in this area, although it may have been down below Havasu. There should also be some serious Trout in the river, but remember that this is -big- water also. For info you could get in touch with the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. I'm sure they'd be able to get you the info you need. B.C. | |||||
