324.0. "PARTY BOAT REFERENCE NEEDED QUICKLY" by SOLVIT::JAFFE () Mon Aug 16 1993 14:38

I am in need, (quickly), of a name or two of a decent, reasonably price
    party boat.

    		- relatively close to Merrimack NH

    		- boat should be large enough for 8

    		- reasonably priced for an 8 - 4 trip

    		- friendly to a mixed group of men/women
                  fisherman/nonfisherman

    		- We don't care what we catch but would like the
                  opportunity to catch something

    		- Provide an enviornment for a nice relaxing off site
                  woods meeting

Any or all suggestions, especially ones with telephone numbers to call
and names to talk to are appreciated. Date for our outing is August 25.

Thanks in advance Joel Jaffe DTN 264-2367 SOLVIT::JAFFE

Eastmans in Seabrook. They should be in the phone book or call
    information.

There are any # of party boats out there. A few more that come to
mind are Captain's Fishing Parties (Plum Island, Mass.), Hiltons
(Newburyport, Mass.), Smith and Gilmore (Hampton, N.H.), Al Gauron's
(Hampton, N.H.), and Atlantic Fishing Parties (Rye, N.H.).

BTW - Sounds like my kind of "Woods Meeting". Need anyone to take
    minutes for your meeting ;-)

What do you really want to do? If you want to discuss business while a
sea and get some useful work done, then a party boat isn't what you're
looking for. You want to Charter a nice game fishing boat ($350+/day).
If you want to have a day at sea with a few beers, fish and enjoy the
day than Eastman's in Seabrook (603-474-3461) is one of the best.
There's a couple of Charter boats in York Harbor Maine that I know of
that are very nice of an offshore Woods Meeting, one that comes to mind
is "Tomcat". It has a VERY NICE cabin area to hold a meeting while at
sea. You cauld call York Harbor Marina (207-363-3602) to get Tomcat's
    phone number.
Sounds like a great way to have a "Woods Meeting"

Here is a list I have made up. Anyone who wishes to go on any of
these party boats should call and confirm the prices.

Thanks for all the help. I have contacted through Al Gouren in Hampton
a Charter boat, the Cpt Al, who's 38' should provide comfort for my
woods meeting and perhaps the chance to catch some feisty blue fish.
Sorry but this is a closed meeting, no notes takers required.
