I'm looking for a bit of info for one of the fishing club that I belong to. They are planning a trip up to Mass for Porgies. The planned port that they are booking the trip from is Hayannis. Having only been up to the area for Flounder in years past and I was wondering if anyone up there has gone for Porgies up in that area. The little critter sort of remind me of fishing for macks, when they are hitting you get lots. They go good in the smoker also. The Fish-in Technician /Irv

re: .0 While I don't fish in Hyannis, I do a lot of scup fishing in Buzzard's Bay (boat out of Onset) - Last year, I didn't get into any really large scup (lots of smaller ones though), some tautog, some black sea bass, and even a few fluke. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with. Robert. | |||||

I spent some time last summer in Megansett and I'll second Buzzard's Bay as a place for scup. They were almost as easy to catch as bluegills in the local freshwater pond. Steve |
