89.0. "Lake Rohunta Questions" by SENIOR::WLODYKA () Thu Nov 14 1991 09:28

    I'm looking for some information on Lake Rohunta in the
    New Salem, Orange area. Does anybody spend anytime fishing
    it?

    Thanks in advance,
    Dave

89.1GOOD CHOICE BUT YOU NEED THE RIGHT KIND OF BOATFLYSQD::CORMIERThu Nov 14 1991 09:568
    Dave,

      Rohunta has big bass and pike, however you need a flat bottom
    or john boat to fish it. It's full of stumps. Great fish'n, I know
    of one 7lber (largemoouth) taken last summer. Another good place
    to fish is Tully Dam.

89.210 hp limit on TullySALEM::MAZEROLLEMon Dec 02 1991 08:395
    Dave, you should know that Tully has a 10hp limit. The Army Corps of
    Engineers keeps the access gate locked until 7:00 am and comes by
    occasionally to make sure only small motors are used.

89.5Cespool????SENIOR::WLODYKAWed Dec 04 1991 16:087
    Stupid me, now I understand. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
    I'm still disappointed in the response to this note. It looks like a
    great fishing hole and it has been stocked with pike too.
    Are people keeping it a secret or is it a cespool.

89.6recently drained too low !SALEM::MAZEROLLEMon Dec 23 1991 12:379
    Dave, I think the reason that you might be feeling little enthusiasm
    for this place is that it was illegally drained a year or two ago and
    much of the fishery went with it.

    I could be mistaken but I think a local contractor drained the pond to
    do some sort of construction work in a neighborhood he was planning.
    The state came down on him like a ton of tuna but it was too late.
