    Having just bought a coleman crawdad, I want to put oarlocks on it. 
    Has anyone done this, is the sides strong enough to hold oarlocks?  If
    so where did you mount them?

    I did this a couple of years ago and it worked just fine. I mounted
    mine just aft of the forward seat by estimating where they would be the
    most comfortable, and put them there with no regrets later. Coleman
    makes oarlocks that work just fine. I mounted mine thru the metal rim
    around the top of the gunwale.
