Our club team is staying at the Tip Top Motel in Webster...We will have
breakfast up in the center on Webster at 5:30...Is what I heard....I'm fishing
with Jim Duhamel the 1st day and Mike Marrone on the 2nd....Guess who BB got
hooked up with on the 1st day...Does the name Craig Arcari mean anything to
you all....Nice going Bob....But I guess I did allright with Jim......
Looking forward to next weekend....

I'll be headed to Webster for the West fishoffs. Don't know with
whom I'm paired, but I really don't care. Bob?? You and Craig
Acari ?? Hmmmm This sounds MIGHTY suspicious to me !!!
I'd be willing to meet for coffee... I'll probably be riding in
with Sully (remember him ??) so it would be also up to him.

I made the state team but I'm letting the alternate go in my place.
I even won our club event on Webster this year!!! So figure that one
out, I know, "I'm just a heck of a Guy". Good luck to everyone. Hey
Bob, Webster was Craig's worse club tournament this year.

I hHerd you gave up WC for the greener payouts of the ABA? Is this
true. Murphy filled me in on Craig's Webster day! But you have to remember I
lived on that lake the past two falls. I already told him to give me the front
and for hime to go to sleep in the back. his answer? can't
type that many four letter ** in here :^)
Well it looks like the weather will be a little nice than the
last time we fished webster for the fishoffs!!

Bob,
Yes it is true, I am giving up the WCB and the end fo this
season and I'm going to fish the ABA Tournament Trail full time next
year. I hate giving up the WCB, they're a great bunch of guys, I just
don't have enough time to try and do a full club schedule and then a
Tournament trail.

Ken,
You need to join a Bass Club that is affliated with a national
sactioning body. The club I belong to is part of the MASS BASS
federation which is also of B.A.S.S. that you see on T.V.
Each club has it's own set of qualifying tournaments throughout the
year. The top 8 from each club qualify for the State fish offs, which
comprise of the top 8 from all the different clubs in the federation.
Out of this the top six (this number might have changed) qualify to
represent the state in a regional tournament, then a certain number
qualify to represent the Region in a National tournament. Finally 4
are picked from the national tournament to fish against all the Pro's
in the BASS MASTERS CLASSIC.
A few years ago a gentleman by the name of Danny Corriea (don't
think I spelled the last name right) from Marlboro did just this. He
also finished 2nd at the BASS MASTERS CLASSIC. This was a phenominal
accomplishment and is the best finish ever by an amateur. I think he
only missed first place by one fish.
If your intrested in joining a club go to the Fishing Expo they
have every year at the Centrum in Worcester. Almost all the different
Bass fishing organizations are represented there and would gladly give
you information on how to join one of there clubs.

| What "Show"?
Matt mentioned that B.A.S.S. is the same organization that you see on TV,
but the tournament mentioned here is not televised. The only Federation
level tourny that normally gets coverage is the final, where the
winners go to the Classic.
The BASSmasters television show is on Sundays on TNN.
This years Classic should be on the tube soon. I was at the final
weigh-in in Baltimore a couple of weeks ago. Ken Cook won and Clunn
came to the scales empty handed the final day.

| Well guys,
I will be there for the fish-offs at Webster. I qualified my first
year in a club.(W.C.B.,) I hate to say this but (sorry madd matt) I
even bet Madd Matt. I caught fish every tourney and my best finish was
2nd at Quinsig. I will be fishing with John Besse on Sat. and Leon
Beaulieu on Sunday. My wife isn't happy because on Sunday she has to
take my little guy to a bridal show and then a birthday party. TOOOOO
BADDDDD. Kiv don't tell her I said that..

That's right!!! After fishing with you I know I'm GOOD !!! I
just a humble, mellow, type of guy now, I don't need to prove nothing
to nobody. Heck if I don't show up Bassin Bob might stand a chance to
do well 8^. Plus the guy I let take my place really deserves a good
break, he's the guy in our club who got run over by another boat during
our night tourney. His boat is still all screwed up and the insurance
company still hasn't come through for him yet. There will be other BIG
Tournies in my future, and yes I'll still autograph your hat for you
then.

Good luck to you all. It would be great news to hear that one of our
own DECIES makes the state team or better yet is the Captain of the
team. Remember don't be bullied, demand your half of the boat, it's
your right to do so.

Well That would have worked the first day!! I was in 6th place.
but I sucked builge water .. finished 26 :^(

| Well I have to agree with Bob the weather was great for ducks.... I
didn't do bad the first day (9th) but like Bob I died the second day.
It seemed that not may big fish were brought in on the second day.
Well I still can say I did alright for a my first time in a club and
making the fishoffs. I fished the first day with John Besse who came
in second overall. I just wish you could fave fished both days with
the same guy. The guy who fished with him the second day came in with
4 fish.
Well, least I had some fun get wet...

| Sorry Bob, I guess that good luck and excellent weather, was the kiss of
death. That's 3 years in a row that Jack Wisuri has made the State
team. I don't know of anyone else ever doing this. Sounds like you
and Tom Z. had a great first day. What happened to Craig, didn't you
fish with him the first day???

| Yes I did fish with Craig the first day. His first spot:
BB 2

his second spot

bb first spot

ca 2 and a short that looked ok but was short at the scale.
total bb 5 6lbs 14 oz 6th place
ca 3 one short 2 lbs 5 oz 1lb penalty = 1lb 5 oz 70 or so place.
second day he caught 2 I caught 1
As for jack. He was in 7th the first day. Great weight the second day
about 10lbs moved to the 3rd boater spot.. out of the top 6 from
saturday 5 made it and Jack.
