Did anyone else make it to the Tournement of Champions over the weekend?
Unfortunately I had to leave just before the final round of freestyle
and don't know who won.

When I left, it was a very close battle between all 5 finalists.
Entering the finals, the standings were:

1. Steve Stricker
2. the Frenchman (don't remember his name w/o the program)
3. Quique Samonzini (? Argentinian)
4. Chip Hyde
5. Dave von Lindsowe

I remember that the first freestyle of the morning finished (ref. above list)

3. 5. 2. 4. 1.

In the final known sequence, Chip lost the motor in his Ultimate and
zeroed that round.  Stricker was looking real good in the known and
unknown sequences and the Frenchman and von Lindsowe were looking great in the
freestyle.

I finally got to see Curtis Youngblood fly - WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That guy can defy the laws of physics with a heli.

The other demo's were K. Sunsei of Team Kalt, Bob Fiorenze flying the 
F/A 18 with the SWB turbine (neat) and Kent Nogi flying the BVM Agressor
w/JPX turbine.  (He cleaned the gear off of it on Saturday when he clipped
the chain across the runway while comming in dead stick).  One of the highlights
was a daily performance by the Christien Eagles.

The weather was beautiful and those facilities are fantastic.  What a weekend!
