    I found a tool today that allows us to read internet news articles 
    via a Notes> interface.  So, I thought people might benefit from 
    being able to read rec.models.rc.
    
    Simply press KP-7 or the following command to add it to your notebook.
    
    	Notes> Add entry VMSZOO::rec_models_rc.note
    
    
    For the moment, rec_models_rc is a read-only conference.  *IF* we 
    allow write access, then the replies that we post will filter back
    onto the *internet*.  
    
    I would like to allow our replies in rec_models_rc *only* to filter 
    back to the internet, but I open that up for discussion here.  
    
    Check it out!  It *does* attempt to organize by topic which should 
    help a lot.
    
    Please post your thoughts/concerns as replies to this note.

    Would you keep it around for a bit?  I've got a friend who doesn't have
    direct internet access, but wants to read the newsgroup.  Having
    the notesfile makes it easier to extract by subject.
    
    This is admittedly a convenience and I can certainly do it another way
    should you choose to reclaim the disk space.

Jeff,

Yes, I'm using it. It is considerably better than many news readers 
I've seen. I have in the past tried to follow rec.models.rc and a 
couple of the other news groups, but they tend to be very 
disjointed (and in general, could do with some moderating...). This 
tool helps organise a news group a bit more.

Can I ask what the tool is and where it came from? It might be nice 
to use for some other news groups as well and I'd certainly like to 
"play" with it for a while.

    Yes please keep it around, I am primarily interested in racing cars. 
    There has always been very little in this file regarding r/c cars,
    however in rec.models.rc there seems to be considerably more info.

Apologies for the confusion - I read notes using NetNotes running 
under Windows NT on an AXP with no DECnet stack or mail - hence the 
bounced mail...

Please try FARAN::NODDLE, or Keith Noddle @NEW. Either should work 
fine.
