I don't remember if they actually went out of business but I can
tell you for sure that they no longer manufacture the Jenny. I talked
to them at the WRAM show about this about 3 years ago. They said
that they were loosing money on the Jenny. As I recall it sold for
about $50 whereas the Proctor Jenny is more like $350. Although the
Aerodrome Models Jenny didn't have as many elaborate fittings as the
Proctor it was obviously a bargain.
In retrospect I wish I had purchased one but I know I still would
not have started it. The big problem with Jennys is you can only
fly them on dead calm days.
I assume there are still some in hobby shops and basements and may
pop up in the used market every once in a while.
Just between you and me Mark - if we were walking past a yard sale
and we saw a Jenny box we would have to have a foot race to see who
gets it!
