| Ricardo,
no, Germany is a little more advanced technically... The PZL 104 Wilga
is a contemporary plane from Poland with a huge radial engine. Not sure
whether it's still in production, but it was in the seventies and
probably the eighties. I've seen the full-scale plan at airshows, the
STOL and tow capabilities are outstanding.
There are many models of this plane flying in Germany, but I'm afraid
they are all from the nice and expensive kit Joe T. was talking about
before. The glass fuse shows every panel and rivet in great detail.
Currently, I'm not aware of a plan being available here. I'll keep my
eyes open.
Best regards,
Hartmut

| Ricardo,
ASP Plans Service in the UK have a plan for a 36 inch span free flight
model of the Wilga. It looks (from a small photo) to be reasonably
"look-alike", except that it has greatly exaggerated dihedral.
I realise that this may be of no use to you, but I thought it might be
useful as a guide for the scratchbuilt model it looks like you're going
to have to do! 8^)
The model is plan number : FSP1178
It costs 4.75 pounds sterling, with 2.00 pound sterling postage to
outside the UK.
You can order it from :
Argus Specialist Publications
Argus House
Boundary Way
Hemel Hempstead
Herts

Their phone number is:

Hope this helps!
Nigel.
