I downloaded a crude and simple design PC model design program from
Compuserve last week and have been fooling with it since then.  It
allows you to do a pretty nice CAD drawing of your dream machine,
and what it lacks in drawing niceties, it more than makes up for in
simplicity of use. I've posted the program at:

Also included in the zip file is the Basic source code, though the
program itself is an executable.  If the dude who wrote it posts
updates I'll put them up for you and add to this note.  I'll also post
any useful discussion on it from Compuserve.  He has made no claim to
ownership or royalties, so I think its alright to post here.

Meanwhile, maybe some Basic wizards out there can take this shell and
soup it up a little.  Anyone who wants a wish list--I've already got
some entries.  I've found that setting the colors to a light blue
"foot" mark, a light green "inch" mark, a light grey background, and a
red cursor works pretty well.  Don't brush it off right away; I found
that with a little practice you can get a useful drawing.
