1430.0. "Flair - Hawker Hunter" by BAHTAT::EATON_N (Nigel Eaton) Mon Jun 08 1992 13:41

I just bought a Flair Hawker Hunter (Beautiful aeroplane ). The kit is a
"looks like" rather than scale, but who's that fussy ?

Does anyone have any experience with this model?

Should I try to fly it?

Have I got the guts to chuck that much build time into the air ?

All will be revealed ........

Nigel Eaton.

1430.1Power or PSS version?NEWOA::WINSLADETue Jun 09 1992 07:127
    Nigel,

    		Are we talking power or PSS? I've never owned one, but I've
    	seen a couple on the loacl slopes & providing the lift was fairly good
    	they both flew well.

    I have a flair hawker hunter pss. which has flown on a flat field from
    a tow line for trimming etc (the glider beats the tow line down) I am
    hoping to fly it from a slope this friday if the wind is okay.I am new
    to this conference so I dont know your experience level but if your new
    to flying DONT FLY IT ON YOUR OWN.

Malcolm,

I've built it PSS, the plans include a power conversion (.25), but they say the
performance was kind of exciting.

I get enough excitement other ways, I do modelling to relax !

Thanks for the comments, I've decided I need a bit more practice before I launch
this particular one into the wide grey yonder.......
