    Hi Bill,

What model of Twister motor are you using for your oval racing?
Have you had good luck with the "Quarter Flash" stuff? I bought their
batteries some time ago after reading all the hype in their ads.

I was dissapointed, nothing exceptional. I get more punch and run
time out of my Trinity matched packs. Believe it or not, I also got
very good results out of Kyosho matched packs.

    					See ya,
    					Orlando.

653.3Quarter Flash ?....what?...AISVAX::JMALESKYThu Aug 11 1988 14:293
What's a Quarter Flash motor? Haven't heard of that one up here
in Mass. What Twister do you run? I've had good luck with a 702
Drag/Oval running a 3 minute oval indoors on skating rink floors.

RE.1 I am using the HURRICANE 15 WIND with ferrite magnets and
the new end bell. It KICKS! I havn't used QF batteries but their
15 wind motor works very well for oval. Again... my sprint car
weighs 4lbs 4oz... thats heavy but a 15 wind motor will run 4 minutes.
QF goodies come from Tucson AZ. I agree that the Trinity batteries
    work well....especially the triple matched.

    				GO FAST AND TURN LEFT

I also have the 15t Hurricane, the top end is simply AWESOME although
sometimes I feel it short of torque during my offroad duties...
    A very good motor indeed.

Whewwww, 4lbs 4oz is quite on the heavy side for an RC car, mine
is 3lbs 4oz with 7cells on it; I'm still looking forward to trim it more...

What gears are you people running?

    RE.6

GENERALY WE RUN A 20 - 22 TOOTH PINION WHEN RUNNING 64 PITCH GEARS.

IT MAY BE HARD TO BELIEVE BUT ONCE YOU GET 4.25 lb. CAR ROLLING
ON THE OVAL IT IS JUST AS FAST AS A 3.25 lb. CAR. IT WILL HANDLE
BETTER AND I ALWAYS GET THE HOLE SHOT. THIS CAR WILL BACK INTO
THE TURNS JUST LIKE FULL SCALE.
