1211.0. "Balsa USA Citabria" by MAGOS::SEGUINOT_J () Mon Apr 30 1990 09:53

    Hello;

    My name is Jaime P. Seguinot. I live in Puerto Rico ANd i have been
    reading the notes for a while. My question, if some body has built
    the Citabria Aerobatic Pro from Balsa U.S.A.
    A friend flew one but it was a little marginal with the Supertigre
    91 and 14x6 prop, It wont go up straight, would not loop.

     I will probably be relocated to the Salem area by October so i
    will be searching for a Club. Enjoy the notes very much,

1211.1A 1.08 Kicks @37333::VCARUSOVINNIE'S GONE FISHINMon Apr 30 1990 12:5710
    I have a flyin buddy who flies the Citabria from Balsa USA, and uses a
    OS 1.08. This plane happens to be "over powered" a bit, but remember,
    you can always pull back on the throttle. The extra weight the 1.08
    adds brings the plane into balance without adding any lead. Better to
    a motor, and not lead ehh?

    Good Luck!

1211.3I've got one.....FSHQA1::BJORGENSENWed May 30 1990 23:1812
    I'm just finishing up mine. I started it about two years ago but
    stopped when I got married and bought my first house - too many
    other things going on. I'm using a ST90 also. A friend of mine flew
    the same set up in a club in Vermont and it had PLENTY of power!!
    He also flew it with an OS61 - it didn't fly quite as nice.

    I think its a beautiful plane, than again, I think all the
    citabrias/champs are. But, you get a lot of plane for the money.
    It's a real nice kit.
