    Over the last month or so, a list of (known) UK based R/C modellers has
    been made. Sufficient numbers exist in the Reading, Basingstoke,
    Fareham and Newbury area for regular meetings.
    
    This is an informal arrangement, which will succeed or fail based on
    the enthusiasm of the participants.
    
    Meetings held on last Thursday of each month. For the next 6 months,
    the timetable will be:

	22nd February
	29th March
	26th April
	31st May
	28th June
	26th July
    
    All meetings will be held at Hampshire House, Basingstoke, starting at
    6pm.

    All DEC employees, contractors and their immediate families are
    welcome, be they active or passive R/C modellers.
    
    Meeting format will be informal, but will probably consist of some show
    and tell sessions.
    
    All aspects of R/C modelling will be catered for, however the present bias
    of numbers is in favour of planes and helicopters.
    
    Flying sites are hard to come by. Three clubs exist in the Reading,
    Basingstoke and Newbury area. Most people are either thinking of joining
    or are already members of these or other clubs. Investigations will be
    made to see what the vistor rules are. These could then be used as a
    suitable venues.
    
    The Fareham site (Solent Business Park) has some spare land, although
    its terrain is not suitable for all types of models. This may also form
    a suitable venue.
    
    Other opportunities exist for travel to other offices (e.g. the Welwyn
    office has a strong contingent), and/or boat and car activities.
    
    Current numbers stand at 27, of which 20 are in the above area.
