I have looked for some info herein on the subject of propellers:
* Balancing
* Single blade folding
I presently balance using a steel rod through the prop, riding
on two razor blades (levelled..). This seems to be better but I
am not sure I am getting as good as I can. Any info (I know there
are tools to do this, but not on this (Italy) country fror less than
~$75.
I have seen several folding half props on combustion engines around
the 1.5 - 2cc size but unable to locate vendor. The ones I have seen
are all custom made.
Application is in motorized slope glider,700sqin, <50 oz. and would like
to get optimized perf with a given size engine. Running a OS 10FSR with
a 7x3.5 (more or less..).

Well, I don't know of any single bladed folding props, but I know of
a company that sells 2 bladed folding props for gas engines:
K & W Enterprises
7824 Lexington Ave,
Philadelpha, PA 19152 (U.S.A.)
Note that they also sell folding props "for electrics ONLY" and
you'll need to specify that you want the (heavier duty) prop for a
gas engine.
I don't have their price list handy (it's at home), but I would
guess a 7x4 folding prop would cost about $18.00. ($10.00 for the
hub and $4.00 each for the replaceable blades.)
They do NOT take phone, credit card, or C.O.D. orders. You MUST
