Hi, Does anybody know where I could get plans for a Grumman Duck J2 ? The scale I am looking for is probably between 1" to 1' and " to 1' or if I am totally off with the scale - suitable for a 90-120 4-stroke. Regards, Eric();

I will have to search tonight for more information. Off hand I recall
that the plane was used in the film 'Murphy's War' with Peter O'Toole.
Anybody remember ?

| 943.4 | No plan but try RCMW editorial staff | HAMPS::WARWICK_B | Tue Apr 04 1989 11:15 | 43 | |
Eric,
Last night I checked both RCMW and RCME/etc plans lists and can
find no listing of the Duck.
However, the Sept 1987 issue of RCMW has a picture on page 66 of
a Grumman Duck modeled by John Simpson.
The picture is in the Wet'n'Dry column of Don Stothers ( Don is
a regular contributor to RCMW ).
The caption for the picture reads ...
"John Simpson's magnificent Grumman Duck, destined for museum life!"
... this is the only info I can find in the article.
Suggest that you contact the publishers and ask how to contact Don
Stothers as I guess he must know more.
In case you don't have a copy of RCMW handy ....

RE .-1
Kay,
Don't know - never seen the series this side of the globe.
The DH Beaver that I have is/has featured in the "McGyver" series - it
has a white fuse with a yellow strip down the center. Watching it I am
very tempted to put floats on mine and do some fishing !
Regards,
Eric();

Eric, Well then - after you get some documentation (and you must have something
already) please run it thru a DEC copier and mail me a copy.
I'm very curious what this bird looks like.
My mail stop is LTN1-2/B17.
Bye --+--
