As per a long discussion started in Note 432.17 I have
taken the missing (old version notes file) and cut and pasted
my brains out and made a book out of it.
This is an outline of the old notes file (2,682 blocks).
I ended up creating a lot of topics on the fly and didn't get
them well structured.
I am now starting on adding the new notes file (11136 + blocks long).
If you send this to an LPS40 then Jeff Friedrichs cute sign off looks
correct. The goal here is to have a handy reference available (in my
case in the work shop) so I can look up specific info such as Al Casey's
entries in "Let us Spray" or Tom Tenerowicz's entries on "Trimming" or
"Quick Ways to Fiberglass".
This version has additional value to late arrivals to the notes file.
It's a long sad story but the original notes file was lost and no backups
had been taken. The source for this info was from an ASCII version
of the output of notes that was saved by Bob Kaplow. So this book is
the only structured way to obtain for your review all the old (lost)
notes.
The file will be available on line until further notice on my uVAX at
K""::RC1.MEM. Please use the two double quotes when accessing this file.
It's a long story but it will make the copy faster and put less load
on my little VAX.
Also please reply to this base note with any suggestions.

file protection" message back. Command was -- $Copy k""::rc1.mem.

About 20 copies were made yesterday and probably about 20 or so today (I have a security alarm on the file and it pops up my operator window every time someone touches it). Nobody having problems that I know of. The only thing I can think of would be if you systems definition of the node K:: was wrong - but that has been stable for well over a year. WHAT A MONSTER FILE!!!!!! It took about 2 1/2 hours to print on
my LA75 printer. I think I'll be needing a new ribbon pretty soon!
There's alot of good stuff in it! I'll be reading for awhile!!!!!!
I got a place in my shop for it. I'm sure I'll get alot of info
from it! thanks Kay!
