I have a Dodge van model rc (Vanessa's Lunch Box)...dumb
name but I am customizing it to match my 4x4 real life showvan.
I was wondering.since I am new at this hobby,the van I purchased
is "not" a 4x4. I wanted to know if I purchased a true 4x4 rc
could I possibly transfer the van body to the other 4x4 chasis?
Have any of you tried custom fabrication of this nature before?
Pros and cons? Much abliged!!

I would think this conversion would be fairly easy. As long
as the wheel base of the 4WD is fairly close to the van, it
should be a piece of cake. And even if you couldn't find a 4WD
that matched, you could always buy another body and make a
stretch van..... Reconfiguring the body mounts would probably
be the toughest part....

Usually all you have to do is modify the body mounts. You may have
to lengthen or shorten existing mounts and drill the appropriate
holes in your body. If you don't want to drill new holes in the
body you may have to add mounts on your car to line up with the
old ones.

Thanks for the help,I will probably be purchasing
a second rc,a 4x4 truck,and will possibly be making
two rc's from two rc's. (if you know what I mean)
a 4x4 van and a 2x4 truck! Thanks again for your help.
