I RECENTLY BOUGHT THE MRC EXCALIBUR 40 DEEP V RACER. IT IS AN ELECTRIC
BOAT WITH THE RS540 MOTOR. I WOULD'NT HAVE BELIEVED AN ELECTRIC
BOAT WOULD HAVE SUCH GOOD PERFORMANCE. I'VE BEEN HAVING A LOT OF
FUN WITH IT.

| Sorry to take a few months to reply, but since I've been with DEC,
I have been on the road for more than 14 weeks.
My friend and I bought the MRC Excalibur 40 with the RS540 motor.
It's a great boat, but we are looking to increase the speed and
duration of our runs. Any suggestions ??
By the way, there are a lot of lakes in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area,
and lots of places to run the boats.
Bye for now,
Keith

219.6 | Not a "Monster" but maybe a Trinity 2002 | DPDMAI::WEINBERGER | SEVMS novice on the west | Wed Sep 16 1987 18:17 | 14 |
| Dan,
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately the "Monster" twin won't
fit into my boat. It's two big. My local dealer suggests a
checkpoint, Trinity 2000 ( or up) . Anybody heard of these motors?
According to the dealer, the Kyosho 360PT is not a good motor for
this boat. Anyone heard different?
I would love to know if anyone has tried to increase the speed and
performance of these boats. Thanks again for any
help/information/advise.

(WHICH IS A REAL HEAD TURNER AT THE LAKE) THAT IS E DECENT PERFORMER.
A MRP FASTCAT WHICH IS A REAL PIG ! I NEED SOME SUGESTIONS ON
REPOWERING THIS ONE. CURRENTLY HAVE THE ATLAS VAN LINE HYDRO A THIRD
OF THE WAY AND HAVE PICKED UP AN .65 K&B FOR IT.
I COULD USE SOME HELP ON PICKING NEW MOTORS FOR MY CAT AND SOME
BREAK IN INFO FOR THE K&B.
