Ernie McManus (McManus Hobbies in Fitchburg) seems to think that the
Japanese trade war will directly effect the price of our Radios?

I thought it was only TVs (just when I need a new one).

What's the story - should we buy what's in stock quick before the
prices double?

	I suggest you keep your money where it's safe! The governments' trade war is directly aimed at color televisions,desk-top computers,calculators,and rotary as well as other power tools. If there is a price increase,it will be due to GREEDY DISTRIBUTORS and RETAILERS,not the JAPANESE MANUFACTURERS,or the U.S. GOVERNMENT!!

	Interesting.... I have the WE 7ch FM on order from INDY and called yesterday to check if the 4 week delivery quoted was still valid. They said yes, and it's a good thing I ordered when I did because due to the "tarrifs" the price for new orders has gone from $149 to $164 !!!

	I think two different issues are being confused in here. One thing is the penalties imposed due to the Japanese dumping of semiconductors and another is the increasing value of the Yen in relation to the dollar. Surely the penalties imposed by the US government will not increase the RC radio prices but we will definitely see an increase in price in any Japanese good due to the falling value of the dollar. Since the dollar value fell in relation to the Yen, now it will require more dollars to obtain the same Yen value in goods. Don't you agree??

	I absolutely agree!!! In oue haste to determine the cause of situations.We sometimes grasp for the most expediant.Distributors and retailers are not an exception to this. My first response to rising prices ,is to attack the "MIDDLEMAN". A conditioned response created by the Oil Embargoes of the 70's. Open conferences,such as this one,are excellent vehicles to broaden our insights and responses. Sorry folks,next time I'll be less sensational and more exact.
