Has anyone heard of a Japanese medicine called Lactobacillus Productive Substance by Dr Hayakazu Higashihara? A friend of mine has shared with me that it has cured many people from many different illnesses. He is giving it to his daughter who may have a neurological problem. -Nancy

This is commercially available as YAKULT. It is a fermented milk drink. According to the "blurb"; "The key to Yakult is the unique culture or bacteria - Lactobacillus casei Shirota strain. This help balance the beneficial and harmfulbacteria in the intestine..." All it claims is to help maintain a natural intestinal rythm, and it tastes nice too. Lots of info on the WEB about it. On the rare occasions when I have to take antibiotics for some reason, I always end up having to go on a live-culture yoghurt diet for a week or so after the antibiotics are gone to get my digestive system back in working order (actually, yoghurt and rice - dry toast is good, too). /Charlotte |
