I am looking on info re the blood test where certain levels of something indicate possibililty of a tumor in the body. Is this a general test or one specific to certain tumors ? Any info is appreciated.

I know of one blood test called CA125 that tests for markers related to cancer cells. But, I don't believe it is especially specific. My understanding is that a high reading can indicate the possibility of cancer cells in several parts of the body, probably the most lethal being ovarian cancer. |
