1485.0. "Differences in scopes ???" by BRITE::FYFE () Tue Nov 21 1995 15:33

Bob Huston has ask me to post a question for him here.

He recently mounted a shotgun scope to his 30.06.
All was well with the scope his first weekend of hunting.
On the second weekend, he found the scope to be fogged,

He wants to know if a shotgun scope is less sturdy than a typical
rifle scope. He would also like to know where he can send
his TasCo scope to be repaired.

He sends his regards to all in the conference.
Any feedback appreciated.

Doug.

The main difference between a Shotgun & Rifle scope is parallex. The
Shotgun is set for 75 yards and the Rifle is at 100 yards. Recoil
shouldn't be a factor unless is was a large magnum caliber. The address
    for Tasco is as follows.

                              TASCO

                              7600 NorthWest 76th Street
                              Miami, Florida 33122

    Spend the money....

Read the story on Montana hunting. I had exactly that scope on my .416
and the results were not too fine. Got the muley and then packed in.

I repaired my Tasco in the round file....... :>)
