Try contacting a local butcher that process's deer and you should be
able to get one. It's funny that you want one. While having my deer
cut up a nice 8 point was awaiting its turn and someone cut the tail
off while I was there to give to a young kid that collected them.

I kept mine from my bowkill this year for no particular reason
except that someone mentioned it. I don't really have any plans for
it, so you're more than welcome to have it. I could run it down to
Gus's on the 14th or we can make other arrangements. Just let me
know.

| are you guys pulling the cartilege out of the tail hide? you definately want to
do that and salt and tan it... otherwise the bacteria will ruin the hide and the
hair will slip...
