     Mr. Moderator :: I'm not sure if this subject has its own note or not. 
    If so, please feel free to move.
    
     I was reading in today's edition of USA Today that that great friend of
    sportsmen and gunowners, Diane Feinstein, has sponsored the California
    Desert Protection Act. This has passed both the Senate and the House.
    This legislation would ban hunting on vast stretches of California. 
    Sen. Malcolm Wallop is holding the legislation up from being sent to 
    a joint House/Senate conference committee. I assume he's launched a
    filibuster which requires 60 votes to pass.
    
     Call your Senator and urge him to support Wallop's efforts to kill
    this bill.
