    I'm looking for ideas on how to hunt mule deer in the snow?  There will
    be two people in the hunting party. We will be hunting over 11,000
    feet. There is about 4-6 inches of snow on the ground and there
    expecting more snow. The tempature should be in the low 20's and 30's.
    I would appreciate all good or bad information.

	God, that's high for deer, especially with snow on the ground. I would expect them to be on the open, protected from wind, face of the hill during the morning and evening hours. The best bet is to get out on some open ridges and glass those faces. They should be in the area where the wind has kept the snow blown away so they can get to their feed. During the day, they will be up under the timber and bedded down. They usually lay where they can get a good view of the area just below them while they are getting some protection from the elements. Look for tracks leading from the ridges to their bedding place. They usually will bed down around 8-9 am depending upon weather. The better the weather, the sooner they will get off those open ridges. Ken
