Try OPS5::GOLF
P.S. Try EASYNOTES.LIS which is updated each Friday night.
Aside from that, " GOLF " ? Shot one once, damn hard eating
even after you boil 'em for 30 minutes.

8^), Yes, I know what you mean. I tried "slicing" into one and
had the hardest time making a meal out of it.

side with just a wedge of sand it isn't too bad.

Problem is once you skin'em and clean them you get so little meat, just
takes too many to make a decent meal.
On the other hand its a real fun to shoot them on the fly...

However, I find the meat a little rubbery. ;^)

seen is their eggs!
Now talk about bad tasting! Yecch.

P.S. And another thing. Everytime I raid one of their nests, I get
someone mad enough at me that they come after me with a big, funny
shaped stick. I'm thinking seriously about giving up the sport.

I have never hunted them 'cause I don't like the no-gun rule they
have on them. I watched those dedicated hunters go after them out in
those open meadows but I could never catch on to the point of it.
First they try to smash there little brains in with those metal sticks
but those critters would just fly away on them. I have to admit those
little things aren't too bright since most of the time would just land
back in the middle of the field and those hunters would have a big grin
on their faces knowing they could sneak up an try to smash em again.
The really smart ones would go flyin' in the woods or duck under
the water, you knew they were smart cause them hunters would start
cussin so hard they would embarass a drunken Marine.
But I figure the little critters have some tough hides cause no
matter how hard them hunters smashed them they would always fly away
until they jumped in their dens. What really amazed me was that those
guys would actually stick their hands down in the hole and pull em out.
Now that takes some big cajoles if you ask me, no way I would stick my
meathook down the burrow of some wounded animal.
I guess the best part was at the end of the hunt those guys would
have their expensive looking game pouches stuffed with the little
critters sittin around suckin up the brewskis talking about how brave
they were sticking there hands in the hole and how few hits it took to
catch em. Course, I didn't here too much talk about the ones that got
away, but hell, all of us hunters do that anyways.

Well written and quite humerous. Boy, we must all be getting
itchy fingers waiting for Deer season. I guess humor like this
makes those last few weeks past quicker.

| I still cant figure out the different species. From watching them it
seems to me they are all the same, but I understand their are all sorts
of varieties. They have Birdies, Pars, Bogeys which are the norm and
they also have Eagles, which are real good and Double Bogeys which are
real bad.
Seems like a funny sport to me.

Birdies = Grouse
Pars = Jack's relatives
Bogeys = Nose fallout
Double Bogeys = Using two fingers at once
Eagles = Federal crime to shoot
Make sense now Earl ? ;-)
