    Can anyone tell me how to go about entering the Ma. doe lottery,
    how much it costs and when is the earliest I can enter it ?

	Actually it's called an anterless deer permit ;-) The application is part of the hunting/sportsperson license, above the turkey permit application and below the deer tag. Which means you have to buy the license before you can apply. Once you have your license seperate the permit application from it, fill it out and mail it in - DEADLINE is AUGUST 13 ??? It doesn't cost (other than postage) to apply, when your number is drawn it then costs $5. Anterless deer permits are only valid for one zone only, you check off which zone your applying for on the application. See the Ma. hunting abstracts for zone boundaries. They normally pick the numbers, I think, around the 1st or 2nd week in October. I hope this helps, Kevin.
