    I am looking into getting a GUN SAFE, I'd like to get some Pro's and
    Con's on different types/makes.  And the general price range one could
    expect, I realize the quality has a lot to do with price.  I need one 
    that can hold 8-10 long guns and 2-4 pistols.

    My preference is Browning safes. Excellent combinations and dead bolt
    systems. The come in many different models with mulitple options
    (Color,Interior,Lights, etc.). I've owned 3 and only sold to upgrade.

    I agree with Guy.  I've had two Browning safes and they are great.
    Lew Hortons has some decent prices on Browning safes, give me a call if 
    you want details.

    When I was looking for a safe I looked into alot of them. Brownings
    are pretty and you sure will pay for that. I bought a huge safe from a
    place in California I think. It costs less was built strong. There is a
    note in the Firearms notefile where alot of discussion went on. Look
    over there. If I remember I'll check into where my safe came from.

    Thanks for the pointer to "FIREARMS" there are two good notes there
    full of info 1023 as you mentioned and also 2384.  Advise in one of the
    replies is very good "DON'T WAIT".  I waited and lost my turkey gun to 
    a break in, 1 day before the season opened up.
