1146.0. "N.H.'s 200 pound Bucks,1991" by MCIS5::PAPPALARDO (A Pure Hunter) Tue Mar 03 1992 11:17
Just got my patch from N.H. F&G with a listing of all the 200 pound
plus bucks taken in 91.
Here's some highlights;
METHOD RANK WT. ANTLER COUNTY OF KILL
=======================================================================
Firearm 1 249 8pt Coos
2 246 5 Coos
3 244 8 Coos
4 243 6 Coos
5 240 8 Coos
6 238 8 Coos
7 236 8 Grafton
8 233 14 Coos
9 233 7 Coos
10 232 12 Coos
*90% of the top-ten firearm was Coos county...
Archery 1 237 8 Hillsborough
2 222 8 Carroll
3 202 16 Sullivan
Muzzleloader 1 245 8 Carroll
2 237 8 Coos
3 232 9 Cheshire
4 226 9 Merrimack
5 225 8 Merrimack
6 216 6 Carroll
7 215 9 Grafton
8 214 9 Merrimack
9 212 8 Coos
10 209 10 Cheshire
Here's some other interesting stuff; A 21 point buck dressed at 217 was
taken in Cheshire county and a 24 point buck dressed at 216 was taken
in Grafton county.
Of the 127 200 pound class bucks taken, 43% were 8pt, 61% were shot
in Coos, Grafton, and Carroll counties in that order.
Also, 3rd place Archery was a 16pt dressed out at 202 taken in Sullivan
county. (Think you could hold those arrows steady looking at a 16 pt?)
I ended up being 64th for the State and 3rd for Rockingham county.
