1105.0. "Where can a guy go plinking?" by LEDS::VESESKIS () Thu Dec 12 1991 14:55

Can somebody help me out on where to go shooting in the
Marlboro/Berlin, Ma. area. I use to be able to go over to some sand pits
off of River Rd. in Berlin but that is restricted now. Marlboro doesn't
allow any target practicing in the city limits now unless you belong to
a rod & gun club. I live in Hudson and wouldn't mind traveling 10-15 miles
to do some plinking, thing is, I just don't know where to go. I would
appreciate any help or ideas. I can't help from feeling more frustrated
living in this state though I realize a lot of has to do with population
growth and expansion, which is good for society I guess, but it is h**l
on the sportsmen.

    Ken,
There is a Rod and Gun club in Hudson, I don't know much about it
though. To check it out more log into LOSER::FIREARMS, check out note
6.1 and look for "Places to shoot" or "Gunclubs" I forget which one it
is. There are many club listings there. Unfortunetly around this area
the only places to go are clubs. But check out the one in Hudson I hear
    it's pretty good.

    Walt,

Thanks for the tip. I really don't want to join a club since I
don't do that much plinking and it would be hard to justify the
expense. But the way things are in this part of the state I might not
have much of a choice. Heck, maybe if I join a club it will force me to
practice more. Then maybe instead of missing the whole side of a barn
I might be able to at least hit the barn door. Thanks again.
