This is as good a place as any for this. I have been a reader, and very
occasional contributor to this file for a long time (I'm more active in
the firearms conference). I have been "offered the package" and am leaving
to start a new career shortly.

I am setting up a photographic company specialising in "architectural and 
estate" photography, and will be splitting my time between Britain and Thailand
(It is partially an excuse to get on a lot of hunts on the estates of the
landed - and moneyed - gentry, fortunately I have plenty of contacts :-))

When I leave I shall take a 5 or 6 week break, and am going up to Scotland to
help a couple of friends cull the deer on their estates up there (something
over 100,000 acres with only the stalker and a couple of horses for company
most of the time). Time to get my deer rifle sighted in! Sometime next year
I'll be doing a spot of hunting in Thailand.

Incidentally it is as rural as it sounds - a 400 year old cottage on the banks

    Yes Ian, I wish you well in your new endeavor.  I am read only in the
    Defense Issues file, and saw your many knowledgeable repsonses there.  DEC
    will be on the short end of this stick I'm sure.
