According the the 91 NH laws, there is a quail season in NH. Does anyone know what they are talking about? I think it is Bobwhite Quail, but I didn't think there were enough of them this far north to bother hunting. I would like to know since I did put up a couple on Oct 1. --Bob

Yep- I'm pretty sure it's bobwhites. There are hardly any around, at least the places I go. I think there are some populations in the southwest part of the state. They are in season now, so if you like 'em, have at it.

I know that in the area(s) of NH where the many New England dog clubs hold their field trials and hunt tests, THOUSANDS of quail are released every year. They actually hold over very well through the summer and fall months. dave

Isn't crazy that N.H. has a season on Quail that's 99% non-existant, but they won't open a season on dove which are everywhere? Rick

> Isn't crazy that N.H. has a season on Quail that's 99% non-existant, > but they won't open a season on dove which are everywhere? The antis got a law passed which places doves out of the jurisdiction of the Fish and Game. of course it's stupid- look who was behind it. |
