1019.7Can anyone give more details??CHRLIE::HUSTONMon Sep 23 1991 10:3415

    Can anyone put in the limits and times for NH ducks/geese. I saw the
    dates, but need the limits/times. When I got my stamp the place said
    they had given out all the copies of the rules they had. I need to
    know things like:

    how many ducks/geese and what valid combinations (limit on blacks or
    hen mallards for instance)

    start/end times, sunset/sunrise or 1/2 before and after.

    Thanks

Hello,

	I believe Shotgun season ends on the 7th for the cape and islands.
Which are zones 10,11,12 I believe. If I'm not mistaken one of the biggest
deer has come from Nantuckut island.

We plan to take our vacation the week of Labor Day (Sep 6-12) in a rustic
area of Maine, NH, or Vermont. Do we have to wear orange?
1019.17GIAMEM::J_AMBERSONMon Aug 03 1992 13:567
    I don't _think_ that any seasons for deer are open at that time.
    To be safe, I would check the local game laws to be sure. I also
    don't think that non-hunters are _required_ to wear orange in any
    NE states. However, common sense is advised if you are going to
    spend time in the woods.

    Jeff
1019.18as Jeff says, to be sure check with F&GCHRLIE::HUSTONMon Aug 03 1992 15:179

    None of the "common" hunting seasons are open Labor day. By common
    I mean birds, ducks, deer, rabbits. Things that may be open are
    things like coyote etc.

    In short, you probably won't even see anyone.

>Do we have to wear orange?

 No, you don't have to wear orange. And you don't have to fear imminent
peril if you don't wear orange. Very few hunters will be in the woods
at that time, and most of them will only be scouting (ie, not using
firearms.) Enjoy your vacation free of worry.
