955.0. "Trophy Dall Sheep Head" by PIPE::SMITH (Chromed Cannondale) Wed May 01 1991 13:59

I have a trophy Dall Sheep head (full curl) that
I took six years ago while living in Anchorage, Ak.
Since I'm now divorsed and living in a small apartment
I no longer have a suitable wall with high ceiling for
displaying it and hate the thought of keeping it in the
moving crate. I'd consider selling it but I'm not
sure of the New Hampshire or federal laws concerning this
type of sale and I'm not sure I could locate anyone willing
to give me a reasonable price for it. Has anyone out there
had a similar situation and if so what's your advice?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

    Jerry,

Not sure of this, but it is an idea. You could donate it to a local
fish and game for a period of time that you would both agree to.
Then when you get a proper place to hang it you take it back.

Not sure about things like damage to it, insurance etc, but you
may be able to work something out.

The suggestion in .1 sounds like a good one. You might also want
to check on some local sporting goods stores. There is one up this
way (Vermont) that has several Deer/Elk/Bear/ect heads displayed with
the name of the hunter underneath it. They are all on loan to the
shop. Not sure what type of deal they have worked out, but it might
be worth looking into. This would allow you to keep ownership of it,
and if your situation turns itself around and you find yourself with
sufficient room to hang it, you can get it back.

    	Thanks,

Hadn't thought of that. I'll stop by some
of the local shops and make some inquiries.
