Does anyone have a bark breaker that they would'nt mind letting me borrow for a couple of weeks or so... My dog is driving the neighbors crazy, as well as us... I've seen them in the catalogs, but really don't have the cash outlay to pick one up... I'm cheap ;^) Do they work? are they worth the money? anyone have any experience with them? Fra

Fra, I (well, actually my wife) broke my dog from barking just recently. We first started using the garden hose. When she would start to bark, we immediately would go outside and hit her with a shot of water from the hose right in the face and shout "quiet." Then we started to use a squirt bottle, the kind that shoots a long stream. Eventually, all my wife, my kids or myself would have to do is show ourselves at the door and she would shut up. Now she hardly barks at all. BTW, it hasn't made her water shy either. She still loves to swim. Jim |
