Well, after 88 days of counting, yes, 88, it is finally here.

                      OPENING DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I leave the office at 11:30 EST for deer camp. Hopefully, you can
read note 737. on Monday afternoon with a report, but if not, it will
be separate. I wish everyone the best of times this hunting season.
My best time has been the preparation, and anticipation of opening day.
22 hours and I will be on my stand. Hopefully, 26 hours I will be
    tagging my deer.

811.3No Deer But RelaxingAIMTEC::SOBCZYNSKI_LSun Oct 21 1990 10:2219

    Hey Guys, how'w yall do?

Needless to say the events prior to season opening in SC are holding
constant, no need going into all of it. HOWEVER I do enjoy getting out
there in the woods, were its so quiet one could hear a deer walk if
there were any out there. It is really a relaxing way to spend day,
granted if there were deer it would make it more interesting. Tell
yall how relaxing it is. Decided to do some ground hunting, so I found
a good spot around alot of track, major crossing. Got all settled in
then fell asleep, not sure for how long, lost an hour or two, felt good
    through.

    Well hope all did better.

    Cheers
    Leonard

Well, it was a 88 day countdown only to see my buddy shoot a 4 pointer
on the opener. It was buck only hunt, and I saw nothing but 9 doe.
Next weekend is doe day weekend and I will probably see nothing but
squirrel. Even though I came back with no venison, it was wonderful
just to get into the woods and check out the wildlife. I am now stress
free, and did some massive vegetating on the tree stand late in the
afternoon. Camp was great, gained only two pounds over the weekend
eating camp food. Oh well, I'm not in 737. this week, maybe next week.
What really ate me up was driving home and seeing a truck drive down
the highway with an 8 pointer and a 10 pointer in the back. Maybe
someday I will have the opportunity for that. Oh well, counting down
for the weekend to get back in the woods.

    Later for now.
    Bob
