| In some places, the Boy Scouts put out collection cans for hides
during deer season. I guess that they sell them to raise funds
for other activities. Might give 'em a try.

Yeah, but I'm sure they don't want the head, hoofs, ect...
What do you do with those???

Bury them in your garden?
Put them in a plastic bag and dispose of like ordinary garbage? Are
you wanting to know how they can be used or just how to dispose of
them?

It was more hypothetical. I was just saying that I'm sure they
don't want the head/hoofs. I do always bury mine, usually in the
woods.

| Sometimes your local taxidermist will take your deer remains. They
use them to fix up damaged mounts. Maybe they will also give you
a break the next time you want something mounted yourself.
As for the intrails...feed the other critters in the woods. Take
a little give a little.

In my case, I hunted this year with two ex-deccies that now work
at the second biggest software corporation (down the road a mile).
While I was finishing up the wrapping process on our two bucks,
they put the bones, heads etc into my truck and instructed me
to put them in the dumpsters in the DECwest parking lot. That
seemed pretty effective for us.
You're not reading this, are you, Steve? If you are, Lon said to tell
you it was okay ;-)

You can hang some of the bones in trees. The birds love to pick
on the fat and meat left on the bones. They will pick through the hide.
Make sure you hang these where they aren't obvious. This can really
upset some people. I like the idea of feeding the birds and not wasting
anything. I have known some people to hang the head in the tree. I'm
sure a taxidermist will take the hide. As someone mentioned sometimes
you can trade the hide in for deerskin gloves. When everything is
picked clean you can bury the rest.
