394.0. "Mild Winter "Ruins" goose hunting" by CLUSTA::STORM () Thu May 11 1989 17:23
From the April 20th Worchester Telegraph & Gazette:
As a result of the mild winter, the geese killed during the
special season was way down from the previous year. About
70 percent of the special season permit holders returned
their hunting diaries as required. That indicated only
1840 geese were killed during the special season, as opposed
to the 2927 taken the year before.
With the mild weather, the geese just weren't as concentrated
along the coast. Oh well, that will just leave more for
next year :-)
