360.0. "THE WINNERS OF NOTE 270 ARE!" by NEBVAX::PAPPALARDO (I'm the NRA) Thu Feb 16 1989 11:24

To every-one who got a deer this year congrats!! To the winners
    a super congratulations!!!

When I set up this contest I stated that the #1 prize would go to
the Largest Rack not # of points,90% of you did not put in the sizes,
but I felt I had to award the Largest Rack to the person who entered
that info as I had written and as far as I could make out it was
    the largest rack.

Also, Having a big heart I felt that a rack with the most # of points
should at least get something, so I added two entries making the
total winners 5 instead of 3, boy there goes next years deer funds.

Before I list the winners and prizes I would at this time like to
    give you some stats.

TO ALL THE WINNERS SEND ME (NEBVAX::PAPPALARDO) A MESSAGE OF YOUR
ADDRESSES SO I CAN SEND THE PRIZES TO YOU BY MID-MARCH.

Let it be known that I was as fair as I could be with the info that
was entered. Also, all prizes are of my own personnel expence and
Digital-Equipment Corp. has no expence or part of this contest in
    any way, shape, or form.

I hope everyone enjoyed note#270 and that it continues. Its nice
to see who within DEC bagged what with what and how. Some of you
took more than One deer this year, some did'nt get any but its the
hunt itself and to keep it respectable that is the Key.

Good-Hunting and Keep Your Powder Dry.

        Regards,

Nice Job Rick! Maybe next year we should all contribute so it doesn't
just come out of one persons pocket. Just a suggestion.

I'm thinking along the lines of .4.

Maybe we could chip in a few bucks (no pun) or a prize, but it
shouldn't be manditory for everyone to ship in to receive a prize.
Just chip in if you want to.

    Congrats to the winners!!!

    Brett.

The contest was a great jesture on Rick's part! I also certainly
enjoyed reading about the successful hunts logged into 270.

I'd also be willing to kick in a couple bucks for next years event.
I'm over due to nail another 70 pounder!

    Congrats to the winners!

Maybe at the beginning of the season we should (whoever wants to
be a part of it) send in a couple of bucks to the judge. Just a
suggestion. What do you all think of it? Congrats to the winners
and good hunting in the future.

I would be glad to chip in a couple of bucks also, just imagine

I enjoyed reading this file very much. I think you did a hell of
a job. It's a pleasure to know we have people like you that take
part in this file. I think it would only be fair if we all helped
out with the prizes. I would be happy to chip in a few dollars for
for next year. I would also be willing to donate something from my
    archery shop (Gilles' Archery).

    Excellent job

       To all entries,

I spoke with Rick about withdrawing my buck. I had
it officially scored, B/C and they only scored it Typical.

            So as a result it's a 9 pt buck.... 139 5/8 TYP.

      After scoreing it non-typical 13 pt. 159 1/8

I thought i would clear the matter up with you all..
