169.0. "Dog Training Areas" by LIONEL::SAISI () Tue May 17 1988 15:58

I will eventually be getting my pup back from training
and need some ideas on where I will be able to shoot pigeons
for her. I realize that I can do alot of training with dummies
or dead birds, but don't want to wait all the way until hunting
season to shoot over her. Does anyone have any suggestions, or
know of any training grounds that are available? I am located
    in Billerica, Mass..

Can someone give me directions from 495 to Groveland game
management area? It is near Haverhill I think. Also how
to get a list of WMA's in the state?

I found a couple of good areas close to my house. I seem to
remember hearing somewhere that it is illegal in Mass. to use
clipped-wing pigeons for training. Can someone verify or
    	refute this.

Linda-
Why don't you try Bolton Flats (down 495 to Stow/Bolton exit)?
Clubs liberate quail there for trials, and I'm sure there is plenty
of room and water is handy.
The time you don't want to be there is on weekends during pheasant
    season!

    Good luck,
