The Metro West Chapter of Ducks Unlimited will be holding there
second annual dinner and auction on March 19 at the Park West Hotel
in Marlboro. John Swann, DU artist of the year will be in attendance
at the auction. He has agreed to paint a hunting scene for us,
with the proceeds to benefit DU. Last year was our first year as
a chapter. In our first auction we managed to raise over $13,000 that
will be used for habitat improvement. Anyone who would like to

I know that Duck's Unlimited uses funds to buy wetlands for
wildlife, is there any organization that does something similar
for upland birds?

BTW-Freda flushed a ruffed grouse yesterday morning. Boy, was
she excited!

There are also similar organizations for pheasant (Pheasants Forever
I believe its called) and quail.
