74.0. "AND WHERE DO YOU GO FOR DEER?" by AIMHI::JEANO (HAVE 06, WILL TRAVEL) Mon Nov 02 1987 04:33

In note 6.50 I said that I was going to Pittsburg NH for the first
full week of the season. I thought it would be a good idea for all
to say where we're giong this year. Maybe not your secret locations.
Just to give some folks out in crt land an idea of some of the places
that you can go. I bet you here the sme town mentioned quite a few
times. As a result of the replies, i'll bet more people hunt in
the same town that you do than you thought.
For openers, I like to hunt in the area of Francistown and Deering NH
for the begining of the season and sometimes around Alenstown NH.
ner the game reserve at Bear Brook.
Well it would be good to hear from you all,and once again, good
hunting to all of you and here's wishing you snow on your first
    day out.

74.1New Hampshire and MaineTSE::LEFEBVRENo DukesMon Nov 02 1987 07:3811
In Maine, I'll be hunting the west side of Moosehead Lake and if
weather permits, Seboomok Lake which is about 20 miles north of
    Moosehead.

In New Hampshire (starting this Wednesday), I'll hunt Stratham,
because of its proximity to my house. I've taken a nice buck from
this area, and because of its location, I can hunt on my way home
    from work.

Woodstock area of Vermont Friday the 13th ( happy birthday
to me ). The two brothers, whose realtives we stay and hunt
with, will also be on their way then. We should be a group

I will be going to the northwest Michigan around Whitecloud this
year as last for firearm season as of 11/15. It will be my 2nd time
out and I have a doe permit this year ( I like venison!) as well
as a regular buck license. I saw 3 doe in this spot last year and
as per the latest charts of last year's hunt, it is one of Michigan's
better producing counties. I'll report back in a few weeks!
